Hi Cheris,
I have been been ill some times caused by recovery from major spine surgeries, plus wrong medicines, the week before this past Christmas my Gallbladder required removal, then the stent had to be removed toward the end of Jan 2010. During March I have been pulling ahead with my health and abilities; for which I praise God!!! While I was just now searching for some spiritual info I had e-mailed to Lloydene Griffitts, I ran across your website address I had sent her on March 6, 2009. I had lost track of your precious daughter’s website, and am rejoicing I found it again!!! Praise God for all your evidence here; It is late right now in Wesley Chapel, FL (where my wonderful husband and I live), so will have to check back tomorrow or so!!!

Hi Cheris,
I have faithfully read your personal messages and viewed your pictures on Sharmi’s website. I have also copied and pasted each of your personal messages onto e-mail stationary and sent them to each of the Hermiston people who know your family, so they could also know how you are doing, and pray for each one of you! I am so very grateful God has guided and helped you and each of your family members every step of your way through all your trauma!! God is so wonderful to see about each of His children and to heal Sharmi!!

Hi special family! We are thrilled that this side-tracked journey in your lives is over and that you can get back to a normal lifestyle–whatever that is for you!

We loved watching Sharmi grow in Escondido and learned so much about her from Pam as her nanny for that short time. As news about her health conditions developed, we kept you all in prayer, and I wondered if this day would ever come. God is good–all the time!

Gene and I will stop by to say hi on the 13th and to give you hugs from Matt, Pam, Elora, and Dominic!

This is Jenny. I have been praying for Sharmi ever since all of you came to Carl and Trina’s one Sabbath. Your family gives me to much encouragement. When ever I feel like I just can’t do it I think of you guys and I know that I can get through anything. God is so amazing! I can’t imagine going through what you and your family and Sharmi has gone through. But We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. I love you all so much!
And you are in my prayers all the time!

Hi Cheris! It’s me, from good ‘ole SRS in San Diego. I have been following your journey since the very beginning and praying all along the way. I am amazed at your incredible strength and courage. I am equally inspired and in awe of what an amzaing Mom you are. Sharmi is a beautiful and strong little girl and certainly full of courage herself. I am so grateful to God for her being Cancer free. Hi. Your Aunt Marjorie was one of my roommates and closest friends in college. Your dad and I were in the same class, and Walla Walla was where I also met your mother.

Sharon called me very shortly after Sharmi’s initial diagnosis about 2 years ago. I have an extremely personal interest in this precious child’s journey, and have prayed continuously for God’s speed…for the entire family. As I read your journal entries; the protocol, the meds, the reactions, the emotions, the joys, the fear, and the rollercoaster rides were all painfully, and intimately familiar to me…and difficult to read at times. Thank you for sharing so much of your lives with all of us.

As a grandmother who has lived through the grave illness of a grandson, I can tell you that your parent’s were agonizing for their granddaughter, Sharmi, and also for their “baby”. To a parent watching their “child” going through such an ordeal with their child, is like having two sick children! What a blessing for them and for you, that you were all in relatively close proximity to support each other in ways too numerous to address.

The pure elation I feel about this precious child’s positive outcome, can’t be adequately verbalized. I am thrilled. I am thankful.
